– Meshuggah will release their DVD, “Alive”, in the U.S. and Canada on February 9, 2010. The DVD will contain live footage filmed in Tokyo, NYC, Toronto and Montreal along with bonus video and a live audio CD. A trailer of the DVD can be seen HERE.

–Enthroned have have finished recording their eighth album, “Pentagrammaton”, for an early 2010 release via Regain Records.

–Bleed From Within (Glasgow Scotland) are in the studio working on the bands second album. The band posted on Myspace, “The album is being mixed at Outhouse Studios in Reading. They have worked with bands such as Architects, The Arusha Accord, You Me At Six and Enter Shikari – we are confident that they will provide the sound we are aiming to capture on this record!” The album will see an early 2010 release via Rising Records. – Ancestors premieres its brand new song “Antler Wings” today via Decibel Magazine.  The song will appear on an upcoming split 7” with Swedish rock band Graveyard, due in early 2010.  Check out the song HERE.

–Rammstein debut their latest video for “Ich Tu Dir Weh” can be seen HERE. I am not a fan but this shit is weird and worth checking out. Did you see the PUSSY video they put out?

– The Empire Shall Fall featuring Jesse Leach (Killswitch Engage, Seemless) have posted some behind the scenes footage from their debut album release “Awaken”. It can be seen HERE on Youtube. The album can currently  be found at the bands Myspace page along with some live dates the band has planned for January 2010.

– Sevendust have posted the following about the new album they recently finished recording.
“We’re officially done tracking the record and will be taking a small break and then will mix it and hope for an April release. We recorded a making of the record that will also be included with the new record so you have to see the footage we have. We’re excited to have this mixed and package it and send it out there to see what you think. It came out amazing and we’re very proud of it. Gonna be fun playing these new songs live. There’s all the elements of the original 5 members. – Carnifex have been working on a new album entitled  ”Hell Chose Me” for a February 16,2010 on Victory Records. The band also will be heading out on The Bonecrusher Festival featuring The Black Dahlia Murder in Europe starting January 8,2010. Dates can be seen on the bands Myspace page.

–Killswitch Engage, Trivium, Dream Theater and Opeth are some metal artists set to contribute to a new digital EP inspired by the upcoming videogame, “God Of War III“. Dubbed “God Of War: Blood & Metal“. The EP will be released on March 2, 2010.

–The Devil Wears Prada has been named 2009’s Band of the Year by Alternative Press.  The band will grace the cover of AltPress’ February 2010 issue, on news stands January 5, 2010.

–Slayer’s latest AMERICAN CARNAGE digital press release can be seen HERE. It contains Megadeth’s Dave Mustaine, Testament’s Chuck Billy, and all members of Slayer talking about their upcoming North American tour, The American Carnage tour starting in January 2010.
