– Back Surgery has been planned for Slayer’s vocalist Tom Araya, the bands tour schedule canceled through April. The tour plans that included the American and Canadian Carnage Tour dates that were set to kick off on January 18, as well as the band’s UK/European headline tour scheduled for March and April. Booking agents for both Slayer and Megadeth are already hard at work rescheduling the tour dates; tickets already purchased for these shows will be honored at the rescheduled dates.
– Metal Blade Records signed legendary metal band Raven. The band is ready to release it’s new album “Walk Through Fire” on March 30, Raven’s first album since 2000’s “One for All”.
– Burnhill Union Records signed new group, Rikets, to their growing rock label. The band’s debut album “All American Death Cult” will be released this April 2010. For more information, Goto the bands Myspace page HERE.
– And Hell Followed With have announced new tour dates with Within The Ruins. Dates are Below. The band is also in the final mixing stages of a new debut album on Earache Records planned for 2010 release.

– Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival will be making an announcement on Wed January 20, on the 2010 line up. Acts rumored to be on the bill are Lamb of God, Chimaira, Winds of Plague, Hatebreed, Korn and Five Finger Death Punch.
– OVERKILL will film a video for the song“Bring Me The Night” this weekend in Brooklyn, New York with director Kevin Custer (HATEBREED, TESTAMENT, SUFFOCATION).
