Sick of It All have finished writing the band’s new album called, Based On A True Story, and will release it through Century Media Records and on April 20th. The band then will kick off the year  on a lengthy European run with the Dropkick Murphys late this month and follow it up with an AFI run throughout the UK. Winds of Plague posted a new live performance clip of the track “Chest and Horns,” shot from their most recent hometown performance at the Glasshouse in Pomona, CA, on their MySpace page HERE. Be sure to check the band on this year’s Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival.

–Australia’s Devolved posted a new video for the song,“Fractured”, on the bands Myspace page HERE. The band released their full-length album, Calculated, worldwide on Unique Leader Records Tuesday Jan. 19.

– Charred Walls of the Damned will stream their new full-length album on Noisecreep.com Monday January 25th to Monday February 1st. Charred Walls of the Damned will release their self-titled debut album on February 2, 2010 via Metal Blade Records. So be sure to head over and check it out.

– Chelsea Grin have released,”Desolation of Eden”, the title track off the new album on the band’s Myspace page HERE. Get the new album February 16th on Artery Recordings/Razor and Tie.

– The Acacia Strain first ever DVD titled “The Most Known Unknown” is  scheduled for a February 16, 2010 release via Prosthetic Records. A video trailer for the DVD can be seenHERE.

– Syracuse NY metal band Freya have released new 2 new songs on the bands Myspace page HERE. Freya’s new album, “All Hail The End“, came out Jan. 19 via Victory Records.

–Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival 2010 line up was announced, here it is.

  • Main Stage: Korn, Rob Zombie, Lamb Of God, Five Finger Death Punch.
  • Mayhem Festival Stage: Atreyu,  Norma Jean,  In This Moment,  3 Inches Of Blood.
  • Jagermeister Stage: Hatebreed,  Chimaira,  Shadows Fall,  Winds Of Plague.

Oceano are heading back into the studio to record their new album set for release later this year.The band has enlisted the help of Zeuss ( Shadows Fall,    Hatebreed) to produce the record. This will be the bands sophomore release on Earache Records.

– Light This City will be reuniting for four shows in California this April, no dates have been announced as of yet. For more information, visit the bands Myspace page HERE.

– Charred Walls of the Damned first video “Ghost Town” has been released and can be seen HERE . This is the new project featuring Richard Christy (Iced Earth, Control Denied, Death), Jason Suecof ( Guitar, Producer), Tim “Ripper” Owens (Judas Priest, Iced Earth) and Steve DiGiorgio (Sadus, Testament). The debut album is due out February 2 on Metal Blade Records.

–Suicide Silence will spend the next few weeks writing new material before embarking on a massive world tour this spring, which will see them hit territories such as Japan, East Asia and South America for the very first time.
