News

– As I Lay Dying have announced the title of their upcoming, 5th full-length album as, “The Powerless Rise”. The band is currently finishing up recording of “The Powerless Rise” in San Diego with producer Adam D. (Killswitch Engage). The album will be released in the spring via Metal Blade Records.

– The Devil Wears Prada will head to Pittsburgh on Tuesday, February 2 to shoot a brand video for their track “Assistant To The Regional Manager.”  The video will be produced by Danny Yourd and directed by Steve Hoover, who also created the band’s first two music videos.
“We want to make a music video that is totally different than we’ve done before,” said TDWP’s Mike Hranica, “and from our discussions with Steve and Danny and the treatment we’ve seen, this will definitely be unique.  We’re all real excited about it.”
Immediately following Tuesday’s video shoot, The Devil Wears Prada travels to Boston to join up with Killswitch Engage as direct support on their six-week-plus Winter U.S. tour.

– Shadow Gallery are premiering their new video for “Gold Dust” on the Inside Out Music Youtube channel.  The song comes from their new album,” Digital Ghosts”, and can be seen HERE.

– DevilDriver will debut their new video for the track “Another Night In London” online at Metal Hammer’s website HERE,this coming Wednesday, February 03rd.

– Swedish black metal band Apostasy posted four new songs on the band’s MySpace page HERE. The songs will be on the band’s new album entitled, “Nuclear Messiah”, which will be released later in the year.

– Judas Priest won a Grammy in the “Best Metal Performance” category in the pre-telecast ceremony at the 52nd annual Grammy Awards last night.

– AC/DC won a  a Grammy in the “Best Hard Rock Performance” category in the pre-telecast ceremony at the 52nd annual Grammy Awards last night.

The rescheduled dates for the “American Carnage” tour  featuring Slayer and Megadeth have been announced and can be seen below.The “American Carnage” tour, originally scheduled to take place in January and February, had to be put on hold due to Slayer’s vocalist/bassist Tom Araya having to schedule surgery for back problems.
