Despised Icon break up.

Despised Icon has called it quits and posted the following online.

Despised Icon is breaking up.

The time has come for us to move on. Some of us have recently reached a new chapter in their lives, starting families, buying houses and pursuing other careers to make it all happen. Writing music, touring and leaving home for months at a time is slowly becoming impossible because of that. We all decided that it’d be best to pull the plug now and end things right.

It’s hard to believe we started this band almost 10 years ago already. At first, Despised Icon was mostly just an excuse to hang out, write brutal slam riffs and play local shows once in a while. With your support, we got the opportunity to actually play music for a living, make friends around the world, be MVPs and travel to places we never even dreamed of visiting in our lifetime. Thank you all for some of the best times of our lives.

We’re currently working on setting up our final tours in Canada, USA and Europe. Expect to see us in a town near you sometime before the end of the year. If all goes as planned, we’ll also be touring Australia and Asia for the first time in the fall. We’ll keep you posted on everything. These last shows will be fucking epic! See you guys then!

Annotations Of An Autopsy drop off tour.

Annotations Of An Autopsy have released a statement via Myspace of the decision to drop off of their scheduled tour this month with Carnifex, Suffokate and Upon A Burning Body. Look below.

“Hey guys.

As you may or may not have heard we are NOT on the current Carnifex North American tour as billed, sorry we havent had a chance to tell you guys this sooner but we just got back from the European Suffocation tour.
Anyway down to the point at hand.

The Reason we are not on the Carnifex tour is because we as a band decided against doing it, its nothing to do with the bands, no we dont hate america we love you. The reason being currently we are not in a place where we wanted to spend 4 months straight on the road which is what it would have been with tour after tour, we all have things going on in our lives at home currently that need our attention and family comes first, none of us were on the right state of mind to be able to spend that much time away at this moment in time we didnt feel we were ready for that much touring. So we pulled out to take some time off and spend some time with our loved ones.

We know this is the 2nd time we’ve pulled a US tour and we know you guys must be pissed but we have to do what is right for us.
No we are not splitting up or anything like that nor are we going on hiatus, were not intrested in shit talking or little comments on lambthingy or any other lifeless troll swamp about how we should be used to touring, the bottom line is we’ve toured our asses off and sometimes you need to step back and look out for yourselves.

Thank you for all your support it means alot and we will be coming to the us soon to make it up to you guys, I hope you all understand.

Our next show is Neurotic Deathfest.
We’ll see you there

Steve, Jamie, Brad, Nath & Sam.
